Located in Bushey, where Danny’s journey began, Act 1 provides top-notch Musical Theatre training for students aged 7–18 in a supportive and professional environment. Weekly classes in acting, singing, and dance are led by industry experts and feature special guests from top West End shows. Our term-based syllabus, small class sizes, and exciting performance projects ensure personalized attention and growth for each student. Join us for our first workshop at Act 1 Arts - inspired by all things Disney!
On Saturday 7th September, for ages 7–18, we’re kicking off the launch of Act 1 Academy with an unmissable free Disney-themed workshop — led by our founder, Danny Becker, who starred as Aladdin and Kristoff in the West End productions of Disney’s Aladdin and Frozen the Musical.
This one-off event is your golden ticket to train with a real-life Disney prince! Young performers will sing, act, and dance through iconic moments from both shows — guided by the very performer who brought them to life on stage at London’s Prince Edward Theatre and Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

DANNY BECKER DIRECTOR & PRINCIPAL Danny Becker is a celebrated West End performer and passionate educator with over a decade of experience across the UK’s top stages. Originally from Bushey, Danny trained at The BRIT School and ArtsEd London, he has gone on to build an acclaimed career spanning musical theatre, television, film, and concert work. His West End credits include Operation Mincemeat, If/Then, Bad Jews, The Light in the Piazza, The Prince of Egypt, Disney’s Frozen, and Disney’s Aladdin. Danny has also performed in major UK and international productions including Chicago the musical, Kinky Boots, The Last Five Years, Singin’ in the Rain, HMS Pinafore, and The Who’s Tommy, as well as workshopping new musicals like The Band’s Visit at the Donmar Warehouse. On screen, he has appeared in Rocketman, The Theory of Everything, and multiple ITV productions including All Star Musicals, The Olivier Awards, and Dancing on Ice. He also features on the Grammy-nominated original cast album of The Prince of Egypt. A regular on the concert stage, Danny has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, toured Europe with Disney in Concert, and featured in BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night Is Music Night. As the founder of Act 1 Academy, Danny brings his wealth of industry knowledge, his passion for mentoring young performers, and his belief that big dreams can come true — just like his did.
